This policy explains what personal information we handle when you visit https://thenoorulquranacademy.com, request trial classes, or study with us. We have deliberately kept this simple. Our website carries no advertising, no analytics scripts and no tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent anyone's personal information to anybody, for any purpose. ## 1. Information you give us Almost all of the information we hold is information you choose to send us when you ask about classes or enrol a student. Depending on which route you use, that may include: - Name of the parent or guardian and of the student - Email address and, if you provide one, a phone or WhatsApp number - Country and time zone, so we can schedule lessons at a sensible hour - The course you are interested in and the student's approximate level - Any notes you add about learning goals, availability, or a student's needs ## 2. Information collected automatically Our website is a static site served through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We do not add analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or any other visitor-tracking technology on top of that. During live classes, the video platform you use with your teacher (Zoom or Skype) processes information under its own privacy policy. We do not record classes unless you specifically ask us to and agree to it in writing. ## 3. How we use your information We use what you send us only to run the academy, specifically to: - Reply to your enquiry and arrange your free trial classes - Match the student with a suitable teacher and agree a timetable - Deliver lessons and send progress reports to the parent or guardian - Send fee reminders and messages about your own classes - Answer support questions and improve how we teach ## 4. Cookies and browser storage We set no cookies for advertising, analytics, or profiling. The site stores one small value in your browser's local storage: the date on which you last dismissed our welcome popup, so that the popup does not reappear for a fortnight. That value never leaves your device, is not linked to you as a person, and clearing your browser data removes it. ## 5. Third-party services we rely on We run a small academy and use a handful of well-known services rather than building our own. When you use one of these routes, your information passes through that provider and is also governed by its privacy policy: - Google Forms, which receives the details you type into our registration form - WhatsApp (Meta), which carries the messages you send us, including the pre-filled message our contact form prepares for you - Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this website - Zoom and Skype, used to hold live classes - Our email provider, which carries messages sent to and from our academy address ## 6. When we share information We share a student's details with the teacher assigned to them, because that teacher needs to know who they are teaching, at what level and at what time. That is the only routine sharing we do. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a student or of our staff. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. ## 7. How long we keep it Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are kept for up to 12 months, in case you come back to us. Records for active students are kept for as long as they study with us and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can reissue a certificate or a progress report if asked. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it. ## 8. Children and family accounts Many of our students are children. Enrolment must always be carried out by a parent or legal guardian, who is the person we correspond with about fees, scheduling and progress. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without that involvement. Parents and guardians may ask at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about their child. ## 9. Payments We do not take payments through this website and we never ask for card or bank details on it. Fees are arranged directly with you once trial classes are complete, using a method you agree to. Any card details used in that process are handled by the payment provider concerned and are not stored by us. ## 10. Security The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy, and access to student records is limited to the people who need it in order to teach or administer classes. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take the protection of your information seriously and we act quickly if something goes wrong. ## 11. Your rights and choices Wherever you live, you may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop sending you messages. Write to us using the details below and tell us what you would like. Students in the United Kingdom, the European Union and other regions with comparable data protection laws have these rights by statute, and we apply the same standard to everybody regardless of where they are. ## 12. International transfers Our teachers and administrative staff are based in Pakistan, and the services listed above operate globally. If you enrol from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in Pakistan and in the countries where those service providers operate. By enrolling, you consent to that transfer. ## 13. Changes to this policy If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top.
